ACEC/PA is hosting our second annual STEAM Day event in central PA in 2027!

This event is open to middle school students who like building things, solving puzzles and making ideas come to life. There will be hand-on activities and opportunities to get up close with some of the large equipment. Lunch is included and space will be limited. 

Member Firms

No matter where you are in the Commonwealth, you can still participate and we need your help. 

  • Volunteer the day of the event. We'll need greeters, monitors and much more to pull this off. Click on the "register" button above to help on Thursday with set up, and/or on Friday with the event.
  • Man an activity station. We are looking for hosts to provide hand-on activities for the students that will help get them engaged and interested in civil engineering. To sign up for an activity station, please contact Stacy Ginkel.

4/17/2026 STEAM Day Volunteer
Volunteers are needed on Friday, April 17th to help in a variety of areas. If signing up, please commit to being present from about 8:30am until 2:30pm that day. You may be asked to:
• Be a greeter
• Watch exterior doors
• Monitor open areas
• Assist with registration
• Man an activity station
• Help with lunch service
• Setting up/tearing down tables and chairs Registration Ends 2/12/27 at 10:30 PM EDT

4/16/2026 STEAM Day Set Up Volunteer
Volunteers are needed on Thursday, April 16th to help set up the space for the next day. We will be moving tables and chairs around as needed that are on wheels and getting all the activity stations set up. Commitment is approximately 2pm to 5pm.
