FutureNOW is a brand-new initiative for ACEC/PA geared towards early-career engineers with 15 years or less of experience. This is an opportunity for our next generation of engineering leaders to network with peers of their own experience level and learn from leaders in our industry.

Philadelphia City Hall - Wikipedia

For our first event in Eastern PA, we will be touring the Philadelphia City Hall.

This free, small-group experience will take you behind the scenes of one of the most iconic and complex municipal buildings in the nation. Philadelphia City Hall is not only the largest municipal building in the United States, but also a National Historic Landmark celebrated for its remarkable structural engineering, intricate masonry work, and innovative 19th-century construction methods that pushed the boundaries of its era.

During the tour, participants will explore City Hall’s massive granite and brick foundation system, learn about the engineering challenges behind its 548-foot clock tower, and discover how the building has been preserved and modernized over time. You'll also gain insight into the materials, techniques, and design decisions that shaped this architectural marvel.

This event is free of charge, but space is extremely limited, so early registration is encouraged. Don’t miss this chance to experience a historic engineering masterpiece up close and connect with fellow emerging professionals! Specific instructions will be sent out to attendees prior to the event.

You can also take advantage of the Christmas Village taking place right outside City Hall this time of year. There will be 120 vendors, lots of lights, and lots of holiday cheer. Check out their website for more details.

Since space is limited, we ask that no more than three associates attend from any given office. Thank you for your understanding. For questions, please contact Sarah Babski at sbabski@acecpa.org.
