FutureNOW is a new initiative for ACEC/PA geared towards early-career engineers with 15 years or less of experience. This is an opportunity for our next generation of engineering leaders to network with peers of their own experience level and learn from leaders in our industry.
Our next stop in Central PA will be the PEMA building in Harrisburg. The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) building houses the State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC), which includes specialized traffic management functions. It serves as a central hub coordinating disaster response, including PennDOT Traffic Management, which monitors and manages traffic systems. We'll have an opportunity to see these high tech areas and hear from PennDOT District 8-0 leaders such as Richard Reisinger, Assistant District Executive for Design.
This event is free of charge. We will start promptly at 1:30 P.M. and expect to finish up between 2:30 P.M. and 3:00 P.M.
