2025 Annual Leadership Meeting 6/1-3/25

We're excited to announce the 2025 Annual Leadership Meeting in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The 2025 meeting will take place June 1-3, 2025 at La Fonda on the Plaza. Registration is now closed. Any cancellations will not be refunded.

This meeting is a great opportunity for C-suite, executive level, and senior level management to hear from leaders in the industry and spend time networking in a relaxed atmosphere.

The overall agenda is as follows:

  • Sunday, June 1 - Welcome reception at 5 p.m. and hospitality suite at 9 p.m.
  • Monday, June 2 - Sessions from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m., followed by an afternoon activity and the president's dinner
  • Tuesday, June 3 - Sessions until noon, then lunch, followed by the board of directors meeting

Hotel
Check-in time is 3 p.m. and check-out is at noon. *The time to reserve rooms at the La Fonda on the Plaza has passed. 

The hotel rate includes:

  • High-speed wireless Internet access throughout the hotel.
  • Entry to hotel fitness center and swimming pool area.
  • Bottled water and coffee/tea replenished daily.
  • No resort fees.

Parking
If you rent a car, overnight parking in the hotel's garage is $30 plus tax per vehicle, per day, with unlimited in and out access. Day parking is based upon availability and costs $12 for up to four hours and then increases to $15 plus tax, per vehicle, per day between the hours of 6- 1 a.m.

Attire
Dress is casual for this event. Jackets or ties are not expected.

Golf
For anyone interested, tee times have been reserved for the morning of Sunday, June 1 starting at 9 a.m. at the Black Mesa Golf Club. It is located about 30 minutes from Santa Fe and transportation is on your own. The fee is $119 per player including the cart and range balls. If you need to rent clubs, you must call in advance; the cost is $65 plus tax but includes a sleeve of balls and tees.

Contact Sarah if you would like a tee time as an individual or if you have a foursome. Payment will be accepted upon arrival at the course.

Airport Information
Santa Fe Regional Airport (SAF) is the closest airport which is roughly 10 miles from the city. It is a small airport with limited flights.

Another option is the Albuquerque International Sunport. It's larger and therefore has more options available to you but is over an hour away from Santa Fe.

  • The History of La Fonda on the Plaza, presented by Ed Pulsifier, director of Sales-Hotel Historian, La Fonda on the Plaza
    • We will kick-off our sessions on Monday with a presentation on the beautiful La Fonda on the Plaza. While the hospitality of La Fonda began over 400 years ago, the current structure is celebrating over 100 years of history. There's a lot to discover and appreciate about this gem in the southwest.

  • Building a Workforce for the Long Haul: The Power of Employee-Centered Benefits, presented by Lydia Zabrycki, vice president of CAPTRUST and client engagement for ACEC Retirement Trust
    • In today’s competitive labor market, crafting an employee-centered benefits package is essential for attracting, engaging, and retaining top talent. When employees are engaged, they become more connected, more invested, and more aligned with your organization.

      This presentation will look at how to incorporate employee input to meet the diverse needs of your workforce and create loyalty for the long term.



  • Developing Emerging Leaders, USAF Style, presented by Russell G. Markosky, Capt., AC-130J pilot, chief of current operations, United States Air Force 16th Special Operations Squadron (Spectre), Cannon AFB, New Mexico

  • The Streets of Santa Fe, presented by Romella Glorioso-Moss, PhD, CPM, AICP, capital projects manager for the City of Santa Fe Public Works Department
    • This session allows Glorioso-Moss the opportunity to dive into a couple of the most interesting projects the team has worked on, such as Guadalupe Street, focusing on the physical cultural preservation of this street located in the Guadalupe Historic Area.

  • Updates from ACEC New Mexico, presented by Sara Moore, executive director for ACEC New Mexico
    • This will be an opportunity to hear from their lobbyists on challenges within their state, as well their own hot topics from the southwest.

  • Wildlife Corridors Action Plan: Construction Zone Updates, presented by James Hirsch, wildlife coordinator/District 4, New Mexico Department of Transportation
    • The New Mexico Wildlife Corridors Act was signed into law in 2019 and directed New Mexico Department of Transportation in partnership with New Mexico Department of Game and Fish to develop a Wildlife Corridors Action Plan.  This Plan was finalized in 2022.  Efforts to implement this plan will be presented along with projects that have been constructed in the past that address wildlife-vehicle collision and habitat connectivity issues.

  • Water Rights in New Mexico, presented by Jay Lazarus with GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc.

  • The NMSU Bridge Inspection and Evaluation Program, presented by Dr. David V. Jauregui, P.E., Jeff Vigil, Ken White, and Gloria Zhang
    • This presentation will highlight the collaboration between the New Mexico State University (NMSU) and the New Mexico Department of Transportation (NMDOT) on bridge engineering projects, including advanced bridge inspection techniques, load rating assessments, and diagnostic and proof load testing. This partnership plays a key role in preparing NMSU civil engineering students for the workforce by providing hands-on experience and exposure to real-world transportation challenges.
